Evil Dead Swallowing Souls of Theaters in 2010

Sam Raimi’s goretastic film Evil Dead will be making a come back to theaters in 2010.

This is not the remake that people have been talking about recently. This is the original Evil Dead that helped make Sam Raimi what he is today. If that is good or bad, you decide.

Grindhouse Pictures is working with Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Robert Tapert to get the movie into landmark theaters for midnight showings across the U.S., in Mayfair Cinema in Canada, and on more screens to be announced after the first of the year.

Bruce Campbell spoke about Evil Dead coming back;

“Nothing can prepare an audience for what they are about to see, because nothing punishes an audience like Evil Dead — especially on the big screen. I’m really glad it’s back. People are gonna be hurt.”
